On to the next vacation

I am so looking forward to having some time vacationing at home after vacationing in floriday.

An update of the crazy soon to be sister in law. She is out of control we have fun when its just the three of us but for some reason she is horrible around her parents kind of backward huh. I just found out that she has hated me since day one and want to break up our engagement. She has threatened me and said alot of other things that aren't worth repeating all on Christmas day. Boy the holidays are great they bring out the best in people.

On a happier note we went out on the ocean and fished and got to see christmas dolphins or at least that is what I have decided to call them.

I have also had the pleasure of stepping on dog poop in the house. Once with the shoes on and once barefeet. They say its good luck so I am going to go gambling ha ha ha.

The rest of my time here has been very pleasant because crazy girl was put on the next flight home. I am sure she would much rather be spending time with her friends then her family anyway. It all works out. The unfortunate thing is this is the 3rd year in a row that she has ruined the holidays. I wasn't involved in the others thank god. I was really homesick for my minnesota christmas and family but we are theirs next year.

Holiday Vacation hmmm

So it is the Holiday and I am in a really warm place with a crazy ass family. Yesterday was just crazy we were up at 4am to get to the airport and thanks to the soon to be sister in law we didn't get any sleep because she talked on the phone all night and I mean all night. it is like she is a 15 year old this continued the whole way to the airport and at the airport. What I want to know is doesn't any of her friends have jobs I don't really talk to anyone or call anyone in the middle of the night just to bull shit. So whatever I was extremely tired by the time we got here. So I went to bed at 8pm and I get to share a room with this crazy phone talker and of course her text message bell rang about 12 times. Finally, I got up and asked the fiance if I could switch beds with hims. (Yes both of our families are too old fationed to let us share a bed but are fully aware that we live together with only one bed in the condo) We woke up and decided we were going to go out on the boat and were making sandwhiches when his sister comes down and gets into my face about leaving the bedroom last night. I was a little take off guard seeing as I had just woke up and was in an unfamiliar house with someone elses family on Christmas. It was not a pretty scene and she has continued to go off on her parents and yell at them and I have retreated to the bedroom while the fiance goes out on the boat with his dad. But to be honest vacation to me is laying in bed and reading and relaxing anyway. I am more than happy chillin out and staing away from conflict and drama that isn't mine and that I know am trying to be brought into.

What I have realized is that my family has really come far and have managed to let the past go and we all are happy with ourselves and where we are in our life individually. It is weird to be in the same scenerio from my childhood but with another family. I guess every family is a bit f'ed up its just way stranger when its not yours.

Hope you all are having a good time with your families and everything is under control. Hope santa brings you lots off goodies and doesn't get stuck in the chimnee

Just about here

Today is the last day of work before an 11 day vacation. My soon to be in-laws are flying us to florida for our engagement gift. They have a beautiful house right on the channel so we can go out to the ocean on their rad fishing boat. Tomorrow morning I will be up at the crack of dawn no I meant before the crack of dawn. So if I don't speak at you before the holiday have a good one.

Mad Slacken on the Blog

Sorry folks with the holida season here and all the things to do I have neglected cyberspace. This past weekend was my company party and then clean like a mad woman for the family christmas party.

We had a lovely time lots of food lots of good gifts but man is it tiring. We did manage to get everyone out of the house by 10pm which was our goal. Thank god we will be heading to florida on friday I am thoroughly pooped. When I get bck it will be a good transition into becoming a non-smoker. I am finally going to buy a domain name and get my own website for my design company. Woo hoo. I have started coming up with some of the layout but the name is the hard part and trying to figure out where I plan on going with it in the future.

Hope everyone is staying warm and in good spirits.

Where does the time go?

I know where it goes, it goes into getting ready for the holidays. This is the first year that I won't be running around the day before x-mas going shit what am I going to get so and so. I have my neice and my grandma left otherwise everything is wrapped and under the tree. I spent the weekend after my surgery getting the tree up and decorated and last weekend cleaning the house and finishing up the decorating. But this year unlike any other year I am hosting x-mas and not only that it is going to be on the 19th. Since, we will be in florida with the in-laws I decided instead of my mom having to do two x-mas' I would have everyone over to check out my place. And of course everything needs to be perfect. The week befor christmas I will be undecorating because I don't want to leave the tree up while we are gone. Here I am a graphic designer that works at a print shop and I haven't even made my christmas cards yet. So yeah I am busy. and that is where the time goes.

The Tests are In

I am really happy after spending more time this year than I have in my whole life combined in the doctors office I finally get a 6 month break. Yes you heard me they didn't find anything growing out of control and they seem to think that the level one will stay level one wooo hooo. I feel like I just won the lottery. I also have my appointments for the hypnosis to quit smoking so that is all good. Anyway, just thought i would share the good news.

I am still waiting to hear some comments reguarding the vacuum cleaner.

How many times a week do you vacuum?

How many times a week do you vacuum?

I try to do it once a week but it's usually once every week and a half to 2 weeks. I have cats so it should be once a week. The reason I ask is my upstairs neighbor is a cronic vacuumer and it is starting to drive me insane. She vacuums at least 3 or 4 times a week. That is fine she usually does it in the evening after dinner but this morning she started at 6:30 WTF. Is this normal? Her place isn't very big and I think the kitchen and dinning room are wood floors is it really necessary to do it that often? Can't you wear down your carpet as well. Let me know what you think because I really would love some feedback about this madness.

Thank you

Took the Day off

I took the day off today. More of a personal day. I think that I am a bit depressed and just not feeling very well. The thought of moving around all day at work just wasn't appealing. I didn't sleep very well last night because I hurt. I find after the biopsies I tend to feel worse when I am in the healing process. Thats about it because this is how I am feeling.

Yesterday, I got to go in for yet another biopsy. It hurt like hell and took quite a bit longer than usual, at least the doctor is thorough. It looks like the scar tissue from the operation back in June was still infected. Hopefully, we got it taken care of my doctor said if we have to keep doing these precedures I may not be able to have kids. So we are hoping it is just a level 1 because then we can just watch it and make sure it is staying that way until I have kids. Talk about pressure. I am getting married in less than a year and the plan is to wait a few years and have some newlywed bliss without kids. I am sticking to this plan. My soon to be mother in law said take care of yourself we can get you kids from somewhere, I thought that was sweet she really wants grandbabies. I think we are her only hope.

This weekend I will have my first live christmas tree. We are hoping to get a small one and I just bought all of the decorations. I am super excited, it is going to be super funky.

I finally made miso soup yesterday but need to iron out the recipe a bit and I think I want to get the light miso not the dark. Anyone have any good recipes, I am definately open to some ideas.
